Long time, no post. Okay, these next few days are going to be kind of stressful for me. Holly Ball (the sadies hawkins dance I was talking about (cuz I don't remember if I called it Holly Ball)) is Saturday. And I have a "date." I say "date" cuz we're just going as friends. My dress is going to be done Tuesday, and I was supposed to get my hair, nails, and tan done today. Well, I tried to do them in that order, and exfoliated before I left. "No lotion," was one of the rules for a spray tan. Well, I got a pedicure. I have lotion up to my knees. Needless to say, I didn't get a tan today. And I won't get one until Wednesday at the earliest. All I can say is it had better not turn me orange.
My friend recently warned my date (at a football game, while I was standing there) not to get mono from me during Holly Ball. To which I responded, with a face-palm, "We're just going as friends." She then freaked out and said, "NO NO That's NOT what I meant! Jeeze, what were you thinking of? It travels through the blood stream, you know!" I rolled my eyes and asked her, "Okay, and how would he get it then?" "Well," she began, slowly, "you two are dancing... and you have a cut... and he has a cut." I don't think she was thinking of Mono... which is an airborne disease. HIV, on the other hand, DOES travel through the bloodstream...
Two weeks later, I have a bruise on my arm... I got tested for Mono. Thank goodness the test was negative. Unfortunately, it took three needles, two nurses, and me going more pasty pale white than Jasper Hale. The first nurse found my vein fine, stuck the needle in and was pulling out blood, then accidently got a BUNCH of air in. She lost my vein. She went to my other arm, couldn't find the vein, and went back to my other arm. She stuck a needle in the first arm again and proceeded to wiggle it around. She called "Ashely" in and that's about when I must have started going pale. I didn't feel it until they pointed it out, when I started feeling queasy. They had me moved to where I could lay down and Ashley stuck the needle in my other arm and pulled the blood out easily. I like Ashley a LOT more than the first nurse.
Now, I'm hoping that my friend doesn't say anything at Holly Ball. Cuz if she does, I might have to break down a little bit. We're going to Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steakburgers with a bunch of my friends, then to a nearby park to get some group pictures. My mom's a professional photographer. My friend who planned this all doesn't know my mom is the one taking pictures yet. My "date" doesn't know we're getting pictures with all my friends. Tomorrow should go well.

How This School Year Will Be My Best
I am moving after this school year. No longer will I be a small-town girl, according to geography, that is. In my heart, "Smalltown, USA" will always be my home and therefore I will always be a small-town girl. So, this year will be my best school year EVER. I'm not allowed to date yet, but I will be going to every dance I can. I.E. my mom might let me ask Yuri (yeah, I'm still not over him... according to previous crushes, I'll be over him soon, but if I'm not...) to Hollyball. However, I have to ask one of my friends if I can ask him because she used to go out with him. (sigh, this is why I'm gonna be single til college: drama. That's all guys bring.) So, anyway, I wish I could know for sure that I could openly analyze everything he does here (lol, I get really over-analytical when I like a guy) but who knows who reads this stuff?! ANYWAY, not only will I be going to every dance, I'm going to make it a goal of mine to have some sort of plans every weekend. Whether it's shopping with my mom at Goodwill, sewing a new dress, or having a 2-night sleepover at a friend's house (as if any other family can keep me under control for 48 hrs ;) lol), I'm not holding back. I'm already plenty busy during the week: Mon. work, Tue. Gamers Club (video gamers, that is :D), Wed. Scholar's Bowl, Thurs. Work, Fri. ONE OF 2 FREE DAYS, Sat. work, Sun. OTHER FREE DAY. I'm also going to be thrice as confident this year. I used to act like I didn't care what people thought of me, but I really never left my comfort zone of a self-conscious. THIS YEAR, however, I'm going to be honestly confident and forget previous traditions. I wanna be eye-catching, doing stuff that no one else will do, like wearing a tu-tu to school. That was fun :D
So, I haven't really spoken with the other girls about their resolutions and how they ended, but I'm sure they're doing fine. We don't have any classes together and they all have Marching Band in the mornings. I rarely see them anymore :( it sucks.

Yummy Recipe
Okay, so, as I mentioned, I've been trying to eat healthier, which includes trying to find healthier substitutions when I'm craving somthing... well... unhealthy. So, normally, I eat mushrooms sauteed in butter and garlic. The butter ruins the potential for that dish to be healthy at all, so....
You Will Need:
1. Fat-free Olive Oil Non-stick Cooking Spray (Olive Oil itself is not fat-free, so get the cooking spray)
2. Half a Teaspoon of minced garlic
3. A couple mushrooms
Spray a frying pan with the Cooking Spray, add the garlic. Put over burner on medium-high heat. Slice up the mushrooms. Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook until the mushrooms are lightly seared and kinda soft.
It's really good for when you're craving something salty. And it's fat-free, too. :D Enjoy and lemme know what you think.

Test Results
WELL... I didn't make the cut. I got a 73% and I had to get an 85% to get out of the class completely. However, I think I'm still going to take Pre-Calc this next year, just in the second semester. Basically, with an online course called APEX I'll be able to finish completely all of Algebra 2 in one semester (because apparently a C isn't a passing grade) and then finish all of Pre-Calc in the next semester.

Update-ness!
Okay, so we all had a sleepover planned (which is where we found out we had made it into Seventeen officially) but I had to leave early because I have a big test tomorrow. Which test, you ask? Well, it's my Algebra 2 test! I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it! It's been really stressful, but I'm glad it'll all be over tomorrow. I think I know enough, but I'm going to do some last-minute cram sessions while I'm at work. Wish me luck!

[dailyupdate]I worked out for a half an hour today on my treadmill. And this time I didn't break any earbuds xD I'll do the rest of my daily hour by 6:00. My brother has a pre-test made up about my Alg. II testing out stuff and tomorrow I'm supposed to go to the water park in the evening. As for my sure-ness with guys, working out is going to help me with that tremendously. There hasn't been much to fight about at my place with my siblings and Jessica's BF is supposed to teach me drums, if I can't learn from him then I have videos on this website that'll teach me, all I'll have to do is find a drum set to use. yes you are kayti! but anywho! i havent been fighting w/ my sis cuz shes not here...:) i went tanning the other day and its a TAN not a sunburn so it wont peel! so excited...lost 2 lbs so far ....not too good but its something...darn gummy bears that we didnt eat at the party! :) oh....one big thing too. i want to add something to my resolution...I WANT TO CHANGE MY ATTITUDE. so i started my new resolution today and to change my attitude i must first change myself...so i got a hair cut...its major. like um............18 inches off. yea. major like i said. anyway...i cant wait untill you guys see it! so wat are ya'll doin tomorrow?

The Indecency of People/Flirting Shamelessly (Too Shamelessly)
This is two blog posts that are going to (unfortunately) be combined into one. We'll start with Monday and then work our way to Tuesday.
Monday: Closing for the first time alone. It wasn't that bad, until I had to take out the trash. I rode it with me on my bike to the other side of the parking lot behind the adjacent building. Well, I did that for the most part. About 5 feet from the little shop, my pedal or foot must have gotten caught on the trash bag, which spilled the coffee water remains all down my leg and into my shoe, and made me trip... on a bike. Yes, friends, it's possible, but that's not the worse part. There were these people not but five feet from me getting into their car, and they didn't even bother to ask me if I wanted help. THEN, I found myself very glad that I could ride one-handed, cuz I had to ride with it held out as far from my own body as possible. I couldn't figure out how to open the dumpster and so I had to fling it over the side, probably getting coffee all over their building. So I rode back and attempted to bring home a coffee for my mom and the hot cocoa of mine that I wanted desperately to finish (I told you my work makes the best hot chocolate, right?), which is a terrible idea on a bike. Holding the coffee against my body and the hot chocolate in the same hand (my left), I attempted to ride home. Halfway there, I gave up and tried to throw my mom's coffee away, only to lose the lid to my hot chocolate. Holding my now lid-less hot chocolate in my right hand (which is the handlebar with the REAR brakes, I might add), I now attempted once again to ride home. Bad idea. Shoulda thrown them both away or neither. See, when you cross a street, the liquid moves. A lot. Talking hot chocolate all down my arm, and as if that wasn't bad enough, it gets worse. I was riding along this short little stub of a street that has a stop sign at the end. I actually stop at this particular stop sign sometimes, just to see if a car is coming. I almost didn't this time, but I saw a car coming and pulled really hard on my front brake (the only one I could reach) bad idea. I shoulda just kept going. The guy was turning onto the street I was on anyway and he was on the street just enough that I coulda made it past him without hitting anything. But, no, I decided to slam on my FRONT brake and spill coffee all over me and my bike, and this motorcycler who lives on my street was just across the street from me and didn't even bother to help. My bike was all sticky today... SO TODAY...
Today (Tuesday) I had plans to go to the swimming pool with a friend we'll call Leslie, but she ended up hanging with her mom. Luckily I had the same plans to hang out with Lily and one of my bestest friends ever, whom we'll call Mary. So we spent the day flirting with random guys. We just decided that we'd walk up to a guy and be like, "You're hot," and then walk away. So, lol, there was this guy in a hat, sunglasses, and a necklace. I stood off to the side and Mary swam up to him and said, "My friend thinks your hot," and his friend had the audacity to ask, "Which one?" Which one? Really? THE ONLY FRAKKING ONE WHO'S THERE! That's which one! "The one with the short hair and the earrings," she replied, later telling me that she was really tempted to add, "the one who's trying to look tall." I wasn't trying to look tall... trying not to burst with laughter is a totally different thing, however. I must have been looking up at the sky when I was doing that, though, so I looked like I was trying to look tall. When she got back to me, I immediately said, "Which one?! Seriously? ...morons... Which one dya think?" We kept making wisecracks all the way back to where we had previously been standing. Gosh, later on we saw this group of guys and Lily made up this ridiculous story as an excuse to talk to them. "We're from Colorado, this is our last night here, and our friend Madison dared us to get a picture with a cute Kansas guy," she told us. When we told them, one of the guys ran off and told one of his other friends and his girlfriend and the rest of them got really quiet except this one guy who seemed pretty cool with the idea. Then Mary and I felt really awkward and walked off, leaving Lily there to go watch the slides. It's actually really entertaining. So the guys told her that she should come back later and then went on the slides. It was weird o.O So, anyway, most of the day was pretty cool. I wish I woulda stolen hat-guy's hat, I hear that's really flirty, but he left before I had the chance :/ Ah, well, there's always next time.

Monday: Closing for the first time alone. It wasn't that bad, until I had to take out the trash. I rode it with me on my bike to the other side of the parking lot behind the adjacent building. Well, I did that for the most part. About 5 feet from the little shop, my pedal or foot must have gotten caught on the trash bag, which spilled the coffee water remains all down my leg and into my shoe, and made me trip... on a bike. Yes, friends, it's possible, but that's not the worse part. There were these people not but five feet from me getting into their car, and they didn't even bother to ask me if I wanted help. THEN, I found myself very glad that I could ride one-handed, cuz I had to ride with it held out as far from my own body as possible. I couldn't figure out how to open the dumpster and so I had to fling it over the side, probably getting coffee all over their building. So I rode back and attempted to bring home a coffee for my mom and the hot cocoa of mine that I wanted desperately to finish (I told you my work makes the best hot chocolate, right?), which is a terrible idea on a bike. 2 Nights w/o a Bed...
My plans got all switched around, and now I'm never sleeping in a tent or on the floor again. I ended up going to Lily's on Friday and Linda's on Saturday. It was actually a lot of fun... except for the part where one of my friends, we'll call her Samantha, made me stick grass up my nose. We were playing truth or dare. It must have gone something like this:
Samantha: Jlybelly, truth or dare?
Jlybelly: Dare. (No one else had chosen dare, and I like being different.)
Samantha: Okay, you have to take some grass and...
Lily: Stick it up your nose!!
Jlybelly: Ah, frick...
Now, imagine that for ten minutes... and my other friend, we'll call her Amanda, got a picture of it. Samantha kind of regretted it when I sneezed like a crazy person. Gah, disgust-o. They had pretty much just got back into the tent after doing stuff that I was uncomfortable with doing... we'll leave it at that, and your imaginations can take you wherever you like. Anyway, I tried texting Gordo while they were out, cuz I'd had a night where I had texted him til 1 in the morning during the school year, so I figured he'd be up... he wasn't. :P Bad Gordo! But, yeah, all the girls were texting guys and shamelessly flirting with them by the end of the night... except for Lily and I :P we both felt even more single than we already were... is that possible? Since we're both completely single?
Saturday! I had tons of fun at Linda's house, but I got sunburnt cuz we went out to her community pool and forgot sunscreen. I'm not going to go very deep into truth or dare at Linda's place cuz we got pretty dark and devious, but I swear nothing illegal or that uncomfortable. Just things quite a bit deeper than, "It's your honeymoon night... what are you wearing?" By the end of the night and the next day, her and Amelia were both texting their boyfriends and I felt perpetually single... again.... Amelia isn't even supposed to have a boyfriend, but she does. That irks me, kinda. Ah, well... prank calling him was fun ;) I haven't done much over the last day or so, except for play this video game and make a new drawing. Probably wouldn't if I had a better computer, but... meh....

If /I/ Can Ride My Bike Across This Town...
then it MUST be a very SMALL town. I've said that a lot today. I got a new bike today for $6.50. My dad says it was a very expensive bike in its day, as it has a very expensive gear-shifty-thing. It's vintage and red, and I love it, though I might get my dad to paint it orange. I love orange. I rode it home from the garage sale I got it at, which was halfway across town. Afterwards, I rode it up to the high school with Amelia to see about getting my schedule changed. Then, after riding it back, I rode it up to my friend Lily's house. I hung out there and helped her with her garage sale while talking about Yuri and my blog. I was telling her about this book I recently read, "Th1rteen R3asons Why" when she decided that she absolutely had to borrow it, so we rode back to my place. Then I went to this meeting for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Now I'm hanging out at Amelia's.
I promised you an explanation on why I rode the TAW so much yesterday, didn't I? Well, it has to do with the recent carnival thing that comes through this small town. I was hanging out with three guys: Eddie, an old crush of mine that we'll call Gordo (he knows that I used to have a crush on him, if that makes a difference, and he knows that I used to have a crush on Eddie), and a friend that we'll call Jeremy. The first ride I went on was the TAW. Gordo decided that I had no choice and handed me a ticket (I only had money for one and I was not keen on spending it on the TAW, as I am usually deathly afraid of amusement park rides... they're metal death traps, I swear) and told me, "You owe me." I must have mentioned that I would have rather gone in my own egg-thing when he said, "No, you're riding between Eddie and I." I glared at him and said no when he reminded me that I owed him. I believe my words were along the lines of, "You suck," and he grinned. After handing Jeremy my purse, I got on the ride and awkwardly sat between them. I had a blast and have loved the TAW ever since. So, yeah, that's my excuse.
Tomorrow I have a party at Lily's place, then a sleepover with Amelia and my friend Linda. Since I work early in the morning until about time for Lily's party, and from Lily's party I go to Linda's, I'll probably fill you in on the next two days on Saturday.

Small Town; Big Plans
5:00PM
I'm getting ready to head out for my church. We're doing a school's out bash and it's gonna be at All-Star Sports. Lemme fill you in on how my day's gone so far.
Drama (AKA Social-life): Filled. Very. Eddie decided to ask me about my last post. About the "new guy" as he calls the guy I like. I'm gonna call the guy I like Yuri, unless I talk about him when I'm talking about his relation to someone else, then you won't know if it's Yuri. Yes, I'm very secretive. I told him there was no way he would find out who Yuri was, and he said he'd just ask my best friend (we'll call her Amelia), as soon as he said that I told Amelia that no matter what Eddie says, she isn't to tell him who I like. She got a little tiny bit offended, which I expected. She got over it fast; Amelia always does.
Work: Boring. Very. Very simple. Nothing interesting.
gotta go. fast. More stuff later.

I have five minutes to type as much stuff as I can before I have to go to sleep before work. Basically, in a nut-shell, here's what happened: Tilt-a-Whirl, Tilt-A-Whirl (we'll call it TAW), Swings, TAW, TAW, watched, watched, watched, TAW, Swings, TAW, Swings, Go-Karts. All a lot of fun, then we watched my friend (we'll call her Samantha) flirt with a guy who worked the Swings most of the night... I watched her on the swings a lot, cuz I was doing the flirting for her. Yes, Samantha, I consider it that I did the flirting for you. Think about it, who got him to have me put his number into your phone? I did. xD Yes, I put his number into her phone, yes, it was tempting to put his number into my phone, too. Afterwards, we spent about 2 hours texting him on yet another friend's phone. We're going to call her... Ashlin. Lots of locking each other out of a room, annoying Samantha, and yadda yadda yadda... My night in a very boring nut-shell. I'll tell you more about why I spent so much time on the TAW tomorrow in my post. Night... Awesome, 2 minutes to spare! I told you I could type 84 WPM!

Welcome to Small-Town, USA. Population: not enough.
Welcome also to my Blog. You can call me "Jlybelly" or Nunya. Nunya Biz. Cuz you aren't going to learn my real name ;) Hmmm... I suppose I should start by telling a little bit about myself, shouldn't I? I enjoy drawing Manga and Anime, I'm very much so into photography, and I plan to take over the Video Gaming club at my school. I was originally inspired to start this blog by a friend. I hope to make a difference in the world, in many ways. I'm an aspiring fashion designer, with writing on the side. I work at a little coffee place here in Smalltown, USA. No, that's not really my town's name. No, you're not going to learn the name of my town. Yes, I do consider it a small town. I enjoy reading and I'm currently taking an Algebra II class over summer vaca so I can (hopefully) test out of it and take H. Pre-Calc. I type at approximately 84 wpm, if any of you are wondering. I will be deleting inappropriate comments... gentlemen.... I'm single, and when I'm around my friends with BFs I feel perpetually single... especially when everywhere I turn I see a girl and a guy. Valentine's Day sucks for me, so prepare for a rant this coming 2/14. I don't necessarily suffer from Insanity... rather, I enjoy every second of it. Mostly, what I suffer from, is lack of hours in the day... there really needs to be more around 30-36. Can Earth slow down it's rotation? At least a little? On the subject of Astronomy: PLUTO is A PLANET! Random thought: I call almost everyone "sweetheart," "honey," or "hun." And you better get used to my random thoughts, cuz I'm prolly the most random person you'll meet that doesn't have ADD or ADHD

So, anyway, my day was rather boring, though it was busy. I woke up like any other day, got ready for work, burned myself on over-steamed milk cuz I was too focused on what my boss was telling me. Before my shift ended (haha, shift... it was two hours of training) I spilled coffee all over my High School team shirt. After work, I went home and cleaned for an hour, then I went swimming for about 3-4 hours. Ever since then, I've been socializing on the Internet. Unfortunately, with socializing comes drama. There's this guy that I used to like, and he liked me... well, he still likes me. Either way, every time we talk it becomes drama-filled. Arguments--petty arguments--or it's about how he's so depressed that he likes me but I don't like him. And there's no way he can change that, because I like someone new. That's right, Earth, I like someone. You wanna know who? Too bad, because 8 people (including my direct family) already know, and that's 8 people too many. I really shouldn't like this guy, but I do, and, judging by my recent crushes, I'll be over him by the end of September, if all bodes well. But I swear, if he keeps being so... him...? then I'm gonna have to hurt him :P The sad thing is that I have to be really blunt and to the point with the guy that still likes me (we'll call him Eddie) but at the same time he's really sensitive. Eddie's still talking to me, and I'm tempted to talk to my friend, who is one of his ex-GF's... we'll call her Sarah. Sarah usually knows what's best to do about him, like, it was her idea to be so straight-forward with him. I just wish everyone else would be. They used to be all like "You shouldn't like her" then they saw how depressed he got and just... stopped, which I promise you is worse for him. Ah, well...
